If I was going to launch a contest where the winner got free cookies for a year, I don’t think I would do it in January. I would probably do it in March because most of the people that I know are trying to limit their consumption of cookies right now having had way too many during the holidays and having seen far too many weight watchers commercials right before New Year’s. However by March, cookies will be back.

That said, if you want to plan ahead, Schar is offering a contest where two winner will get free cookies for a year. You will get a case of each of their top sellers like ladyfingers (perfect for gluten and dairy free tiramisu) their chocolate dipped cookies and their chocolate sandwich cookie, which are, to my adult palate the best sandwich cookies anywhere, ever.

To enter the contest you join the Schar Club which, yes, means you get e-mail from Schar, but they are very good about not mailing too often or on annoying topics. For example, one of their mailings this year was a gluten-free Halloween candy list. It’s not like signing up for a mailing list from a clothing company. I have been a member for several months and they really do a nice job keeping it infrequent and relevant.

They also make really good cookies.
